Job Description
To work as part of a team designing and developing a range of automated systems in accordance with clients? specifications from conception through testing to final commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development and commissioning of equipment for process automation and machine control. This will include proprietary and bespoke equipment containing PLC, HMI, SCADA and/or other ancillary devices.
Create, develop and commission PLC software for process automation and machine control
Create, develop and commission HMI and ensure that user interfaces are intuitive and user friendly
Assist in new product introduction and the development of associated processes and equipment
Integrate and control ancillary and proprietary equipment
Participate in design/process reviews for products as required
Equipment procurement including specification, enquiry, bid analysis, ordering and expediting
Conduct trials and report on results in order to improve and maximise process
Supervision of site activities including sub contractors
Engage in problem solving and brainstorming, both individually and as part of the ICA team
Maintain and update electronic files, using electronic document management software
Support, advise and liaise with mechanical and electrical engineers on MEICA projects
Liaise and build effective working relationships with Enisca clients
Keeping up to date with changes to applicable UK and European legislation
Keeping up to date with technological advances and new products
Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval
Undertake any other such duties considered to be commensurate with the experience of the post holder and the requirements of the post
Requirements:
Degree level qualification or equivalent in control or electrical engineering
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI configuration and specification of equipment
2 years electrical, instrumentation or software experience
Experience in SQL, MS Access and Windows networking applications
Natural aptitude to logical problem solving
Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
Ability to build relationships internally and externally with colleagues and clients
Understanding of engineering drawings
Driver?s Licence and access to own transport
Package:
?35 - 45,000 per annum
